Christine Shoemaker is a fourth year honors student pursing a B.S. in Biochemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara. When her biochemistry courses touched on the vital role that hormones play in the function and regulation of our bodies, Christine started to wonder how oral contraceptives and artificial hormones might change the body. This curiosity brought her to the Jacobs Lab, where she will be working on the Hormones and Cognition study. She plans to continue onto graduate school where she will focus on neuroendocrinology. In her free time, Christine enjoys surfing, running, reading, and film photography.
